I'm sure he would do such a better job. Nobody has a perfect draft or trade record, and honestly, that's something that can be improved with better scouts/advisors. As a GM, Colangelo is a complete professional (contrast him with the way his Jays' counterpart likes to handle things) who is respected by other GMs, players and player agents. I really can't think of any better replacement who isn't already signed with a team, and I'm not sure the number of better GMs could be counted on more than one hand. Have these people actually looked around the league at all? MLSE hired one of the best GM's in the league, who completely changed the atmosphere and image of the team, allowed him to actually spend money to improve the club, and has been shown a willingness to take on, and sign, large, long-term contracts.
